The sweater is a bold step forward for the Devils brand, aligning with the momentum of team primed to pivot to a future window of success.

Devils Reverse Retro Jersey, 2022-23 In 2022, in collaboration with adidas and the NHL’s second league-wide, alternate jersey program, the Devils unveiled its adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey.  The Colorado Rockies-inspired jersey pays homage to where the team played prior to moving to New Jersey in 1982. The jersey pattern follows the pattern of the original Devils white, red and green uniforms, worn from 1982-1992, but replaced with the Colorado Rockies’ colors, which were also carried over from the club’s original franchise birthplace – Kansas City.

Devils Reverse Retro Jersey, 2020-21 In 2020, in collaboration with adidas and the NHL's first league-wide, alternate jersey program, the New Jersey Devils unveiled its adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey, reflecting a reverse of the team's 1982-92 uniform. The team's first-ever green-based jersey reflects the famed Pine Barrens, legendary home of the Garden State's mythical New Jersey Devil for which the team was named in 1982 following relocation and name change from the Colorado Rockies.

Devils Heritage Jersey, 2018-19 In 2018, for the first-time in 26 seasons, Devils will be threw it back to their original white, red and green home uniforms, which debuted during the Devils inaugural season in 1982. The original uniform scheme was worn for ten years (1982-92) at Brendan Byrne Arena.

New Jersey Devils, 2007-17 In 2007, the RBK Edge jersey was introduced to the NHL. While other teams were making massive changes, the Devils decided to go against the grain and change nothing. The only move was made by the NHL who put their shield on the collar.

New Jersey Devils, 1992-07 Introduced in 1992, these jerseys were worn during the era where the Devils won three Stanley Cups and established themselves as a winning franchise. This new jersey featured a simplified all-black shoulder and went back to a three-stripe system that featured a smaller outer stripe.

New Jersey Devils, 1982-92 With the birth of the New Jersey Devils came the first jersey in Devils history. Now fondly known only as our "retros," the team's new identity was a stark departure from the past. The two-stripe design was the first time in the club's history that they had departed from their traditional three. Second, the striping on the shoulders harkened back to the Scouts, but with a more '80s twist. And lastly, the team found new colors to match their new home.

Colorado Rockies, 1976-82 Paying homage to the Kansas City Scouts, the Colorado Rockies were born wearing the same bold colors as their former team with a few key changes. The new look came by removing the stripes from the shoulder and sleeves, eliminating the thin lines within the golden stripes, and establishing a more modern equally weighted three-stripe system. The end result created a uniform that would later evolve into the Devils' current uniform with a few slight adjustments.

Kansas City Scouts, 1974-76 For two years, the Scouts (the NHL club that eventually became the Devils) donned a bold sweater that included brightly colored stripes. The establishment of red in the team's history began with a three-stripe pattern across the elbows and waist. The modern, clean collar with single color was another feature that helped the team stand out. The Scouts only wore these jerseys for two years, before relocating to Colorado and rebranding.
